JP Looney has been painting original abstract paintings since early 2001. He was encouraged to start painting by the various paintings that came into my frame shop to be framed. Modern artists like Picasso, Dali and Joan Miro were his inspiration. He has developed his own style in the last 20 years of painting. He loves applying the color and discovering the movement in his original landscape paintings, so what started as a challenge has become his passion and he does not see himself ever stopping.
