A little bit about me:

I enjoy painting abstract landscapes because the viewer can image themselves in viewing the landscape as I see it.  Sometimes I have been to a location and keep that beauty in my memory and it comes out when I paint.

Viewers have said “oh, thats the coastline in France” or “I was just there, isn’t that the vista point in Monterey?”.  I just love it when someone can recognize in their memory a place in my paintings.

I have always had an artistic side and always participated in school projects whether it was metal working or art class.  I really poured my heart and soul into what I was expressing and I feel a sense of giving of myself,  when I would gift my art to a family member or friend.  It warms my heart to see those items still on display in their homes many years after I created them.

So, I started painting professionally in the early 2000’s and it has made me grow into the painter I am now.  I have tried many genres of painting, but abstract landscapes gives me the greatest pleasure.  Therefore, I mostly paint abstract landscapes, and seascapes.  Occasionally I am inspired to add a  circle or some other abstracted shape to enhance a particular area of the painting I want to emphasize.
